East Walker River Fishing Report

The flows on the East are still in the 20 cfs range and though we haven't been getting very many reports from the river most of the ones we are getting are not too bad. Key things to think of when heading down there are to focus on the deeper pools and runs, be sneaky so as not to spook the fish and try to get your drifts in sync with the river flow. If you take your time and get all your ducks in a row you should be able to pull out some nice fish. There are a few stand-out patterns that seem to be working the best which include: Fox's poopah (green), san juan worm, LaFontaine's deep sparkle pupa (green), rainbow warrior, mercury midge and micro mayfly.
