The kokanee fishing at Shaver Lake is winding down, but the expert fishermen participating in the Kokanee Power Derby on Saturday managed to collect a good number of kokes. According to reports, most boats averaged 3 to 9 kokanee per boat. Most fished the Point but some found them at various depths between the Point and the island.
