Report Date:
http://norcal.fishreports.comThe lake surface temp holding in the mid 50's. Cold nights will drop that temp 1-2 degrees. We have seen low temps between 16 and 30 degrees, depending on whether or not we have a cloud cover. If we see moisture one day, we normally see heavy fog form over the lake the following morning. If clear overnight, it will be foggy & it starts before sunrise. Your best friend out there is not necessarily your GPS. It's an old fashioned compass. Float tubers and kayakers, it's very easy to lose sight of the shoreline when fighting a big fish....tow factor. Be sure to check the direction shore is before heading out. Shore fishing and fly fishing have been great. Trollers pounding big numbers too. Boats have been launching but be aware that the dock will be removed around Dec 1. I don't recommend launching large deep drafting boats but some folks are still doing it. For me, it was causing damage to my trailer launching several times a week this season. We have fish holding all day in 1 to 5 ft of water. The trout are still pounding this year’s massive hatch of tui chub minnows. www.eaglelakefishing.net
