http://2838 Garrison StreetHey folks-
Wow! What a day! I’m still pumped and wound up from the incredible fishing we had today. The big fish showed up early and never left us all day. No matter which way the current changed or lack of current, the fish stuck around and wanted to bite. 80# and 100# Flurocarbon was the go-to today to land these fish that weighed up to 140#. We had a few casualties on big fish because guys got frustrated that they couldn’t get a bite and dropped down to 60#. Stick with the heavy line and put your time in at the rail and it will happen for you. Much better to get less bites and land your fish than it is to get more bites and lose them.
After the day was over we ended up with close to 80 tuna of which at least 35 of those were over 100#. Lots of the other fish were in the 80-99# range. Just incredible fishing and the grade just keeps getting better. We are going to fish for a few hours in the morning and then head for home. Wish us luck in the morning!
