Last weekend's storms kept many anglers at bay, but others took advantage of the low fishing pressure to catch a few rainbow trout near the outflow stream from the Willow Beach Fish Hatchery. Those who caught fish were using PowerBait, Rooster Tails, or nightcrawlers. Striped bass fishing has slowed down, though Bomber Long A lures have caught some fish. At Cottonwood Cove, fishing is fair to good with reports of fish weighing in at 10 pounds plus. Trout plants should trigger the bite from the big boys.
