GENERAL CONDITIONS Trout fishing is usually great here at Chabot, but despite several trout plants fishing remains slow. A couple limits were caught about 3 weeks ago. Water temperature remains in the low 50 and water clarity is about 3 feet visibility. All of our boats are half off Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays! CATFISH Catfishing had a rough year here at Chabot. EBRPD planted over a couple thousand pounds of channel catfish into the lake but......

Lake Chabot in Castro Valley, CA is ready for the President’s Weekend Holiday. We just got stocked with a nice load of trout. Just in time for a long weekend we got 750 pounds of nice size trout. Come on down and go fishing.
