Sturgeon showing in the west Delta at the usual haunts up into Cache Slough. One day the bite is fair to good and the next day they seem to have lockjaw. When it comes to sturgeon fishing having a little patience and perseverance pays off. The best baits continue to be lamprey eel strips, salmon roe and the basic shrimp baits. When using the eel place a piece of nightcrawler on the tip of the hook for better results.
