Lake Berryessa Fishing is ok right now. We started fishing early in the Narrows with A-Rigs tipped with Optimum Baits Opti Shads. We caught a small limit of fish this way and knew things had changed. We then looked for protected areas to seek staging fish. We found that Spotted Bass and Largemouth Bass had moved up onto beds. The fish were very skittish , but catchable. We caught a few fish to 3 lbs, but the bigger fish just weren’t there for us. We moved to the main lake around 10am seeking spawning areas trying to catch the Big Ones! The water was dirty and we could not site fish. We caught a few with no size, so we kept on the move. The next spot we had a 5lber get off right at the boat. The bite began to pick up on plastics moved really slow in 2-6ft of water.
Fish slow, be patient and you will do well.
Good Luck!

But Reclamation won't actually say what that really means. Many of you may remember Task Force......
