No Jokes Just Kokes

Kayak fishing Whiskeytown Lake and targeting kokanee panned out with a limit of kokanee. My previous attempts left me empty handed and a dry net.

Putting-in at Whiskey Creek using white corn, a Shasta Tackle Sling Blade, one oz banana weight and a small hoochie was very productive.

Although this time of year the fish are generally small. I was surprised with the 12in. kokes I was able to net. As the year progresses the larger fish will be around. It was nice to see fish had no copepods.
