Hi RP Friends,

We spent the night at the Bank and started very early trying to get a tuna thru the large pack of sharks. Unfortunately, were not very successful. Lots of eaten fish but nothing whole. We trolled for wahoo and caught a handful then one last drift yielding 4 tuna before the sharks got on us. Pretty much confirmed the move back to the Zone for our last days of the trip. Wish us luck!

We played a bunch of cards, watched movies and told stories. It’s a funny thing with fisherman and stories as we tell the same ones over and over and over. The stories often change, fish grow and embellishments follow. The best thing is we listen to them time and time again and tell our version of the same stories time and time again, but it yields the same smiles and laughter. The only weird thing is when we tell the same stories to the same person on the same day. Happens all the time, we are fisherman!

Since we didn’t catch much, we have designated a few anglers of the day. Doc Gary would like to say hi and sends his love to Jaslene and Jordyn (beautiful names by the way) and wants you to know he yet to drop a rod in the water. Stan says hi to Carolyn and Mark and hopes to catch one as small as Mark’s personal best tomorrow. John Natsume says hi to Brent and Brad and is hoping to hook the large one he released a few days ago. Brent says hi to Jill, Rorie & Shelly. His back is acting up but he is ready to catch a big one tomorrow.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.

Hi RP Fans; Rather than feed a bunch of nice tuna to the resident population of silky and Galapagos brown sharks for the rest of the trip, we decided to make a move after the morning session to Hurricane Bank. We had an initial flurry of tuna in the morning with a handful of tuna up to 120lbs and a few wahoo. Several more got mauled and it wasn’t enough to keep us in the Buffer Zone. We will arrive......
