Coquille River Basin Fishing Report

OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff

Report Date:

http://www.dfw.state.or.us

Steelhead angling is still open in the Coquille Basin until April 30. In the Coquille Basin one additional hatchery steelhead may be retained per day for a total aggregate of three adult fish harvested daily.

Fishing for smallmouth bass should be good in the South Fork Coquille and mainstem once the water clears from last week’s rain. This is a good time of the year to catch bigger smallmouth bass.

Crabbing has been slow in the lower Coquille. It is still recommended you discard the crab viscera (guts/butter) before cooking.
