http://www.lakesabrinaboatlanding.comWowzer – it was a wild one up at the Lake this weekend. Fishing, this Fishmas, was definitely better than the weather, although the weather was typical Opening day weather – snowy and blustery. Vehicles started arriving in the snow covered lot at 3:00am and with those drivers not knowing where the parking lines were made for and interesting parking experience later in the day. A few stuck cars in the Lake bed ‘parking lot’ and fisherpeople being the people they are all helped to get them unstuck – great entertainment from the warm Cafe.
Limit after limit came up the ramp – most included fish at the two pound weight – makes for a great fish dinner. Almost anything you threw was working. Had a group of 4 catch and release over a 100 fish in a two hour window. And it didn’t matter where you were fishing – from shore in front of the Café, in the channels, back at the Inlets – you were catching fish. If you weren’t, next time head up to the Café and we’ll tell you how it’s done – normally with NightCrawler, PowerBait, Salmon Eggs and Lures! Thanks again to the Department of Fish and Wildlife for the GREAT pre-Opener stock!
As we were so busy on both Saturday and Sunday, only got one picture of a fisherman. That of a 3-fish stringer weighing in at over six and a half pounds caught Opening day by Greg Hovivian. (We’ll try and do better here on out).
