We had only one client on the ranch this past week and he was able to do very well on the lower section with small nymphs and san juan worms. The streamer fishing was not successful and most of his fish came on the red san juan. On most of the river right now including the California side it's important to fish the seams and tailouts as well as the deeper pools and runs and also you'll want to still be a little stealthy so as not to spook the fish before you have a chance to run a fly past them.
