Thankfully the fish haven't done the same thing. the bass are still biting everything from plastics to lures. Swim baits fished along the rocky shorlines are producing large and smouth bass in decent numbers. T he sheer cliff area is kicking out bass as well as trout, Trolling firetiger and rainbow rapalas up past the dam will result in rainbows to 4lbs. 1 to 4 lb catfish are pretty much all over the place. with patience and bigger baits you can hook into a lot bigger kitty. Good luck on landing one on anything les than 20 lb. test, crappie seem to be non existant as is bluegill and red ear.

Despite the high winds in the afternoon this week, many limits of trout, bass, and catfish were caught by anglers of all ages. Three rainbows caught on the troll weighed in at 8-8.5lbs proving the dam is still the best area for trout. Kastmasters and Rapalas are absolute necessities this year for anglers wanting a trophy fish. The catfish bite is taking off again as six limits were reported during the week. Sinking mackerel, worms, and stink baits were the popular methods and even chewing gum seemed to attract the hungry cats. The dam area was the hot spot for bass as a few 3-4Ib and even bigger largemouth were pulled out of the rocky bank on the west end.
