Good numbers of striped bass in the 22 to 24 inch category and smaller requiring some culling. Most of the action is on the Sacramento River at anchor tossing anchovies or shad. The trolling action has slowed down with very little to show for their efforts. The good news is the excellent small mouth bass fishing on the Old Sacramento River and Steamboat Slough where anglers are scoring on good numbers in the 1 to 2 pound range tossing small crank baits, chatter baits, small jigs and plastics in tight along the riprap.
