After doing a lot of driving around this trip, today was the first day we got to sit on the anchor and catch fish. We had
good scratch fishing on 70-130lb fish, keeping one to four going all morning. When it slowed down we found a deal of 30-80lb fish
that really wanted to bite. We had wide open fishing for at least twenty minutes with the majority of people having fish on.
We ended up with a Conservative count of at least 20 fish over a hundred to go along with the rest of today's catch.
Today's picture is Charlie Iwashita and a tuna he caught on our favorite surface iron, the Salas 7x.
One other interesting note is how wahoo fishing has stayed consistent at the "Bank", even though there has always been someone there.
Our next trip is going to be one of the rare modern day chances available to long range fishing. Weather permitting our boat will be
there after almost a week's rest which barring some inexplicable fishing phenomenon has a chance to result in great wahoo fishing.
As chances would have it there is one spot available... so call Lori.
