Hello RP Friends,

We awoke to very windy and soggy conditions today as I think we are catching a bit of the tropical depression Paine. It seems dramatic changes in weather more often than not have dramatic effects to fishing conditions. Well, things did change, but for the better. I’m not kidding when I described our previous couple days fishing as outstanding. Well, today remained the same except the fish were larger than our previous days. The average size fish today was about 80lbs and we ended up catching over 60 tuna with a good percentage over 100lbs. Thank goodness Paine wasn’t a pain!

Today, Bob Antonelli had big fish honors with a 120lber.

Brendan, Bob’s son, had a great day as well catching the last tuna of the day which was over 100lbs.

Our additional highlight was a first for the trip as Tom Thorward caught back to back personal bests. For his first achievement, he received a PB shower followed by jumping into the bait tote as recognition for his second (this stuff never gets old!).

Mark Nahabedian (say that 10 times fast), Robert Wagner and Brendan caught personal best yellowtail just after midnight earning them a triple shower.

We ended the day with a sushi buffet that was spectacular! Chef Mark and Chef Dave prepared, yellowtail & tuna sashimi, poke, 3 types of sushi, seared tuna beef noodles, seaweed salad and soft shell crab roll. Did I mention, it was spectacular? Thank you to the crew of the RP for providing an amazing 3rd day.

My apologies, but I didn’t mention that Pat Howard caught our first fish over 100lbs yesterday. For his feat, Patrick won a new Seeker rod. Thank you Seeker for hosting us to a great event!

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 226-8092 to get in on the action.
