GENERAL CONDITIONS

The water temperature has been reaching about 76 degrees. The water has been cool in the mornings with temperatures in the low 60’s to the high 80’s.

Please note boaters must be 100 feet away from the swim ropes, fish tube and the docks.

We encourage all anglers to please stop by our kiosk on the way out to report catches, stories, comments, and/or concerns.

CATFISH

The best bait to use has been mackerel, chicken livers, anchovies and sardines.

TROUT

The water temperature is still warm, so the trout have been staying in the deeper water. No trout catches have been reported.

BASS

Bass are biting on swimbaits, but remember to release your bass back into the lake to keep the population up.

CATCHES REPORTED

On 8/29 Jon Christenson caught and released 6 bass on robo worms and 7 bass on flukes float tubing in the Arroyo.

Gabreil Rezendez caught and released 7 bass and he was using plastic worms.

On 9/9/16 Gabreil caught and released 8 bass fishing in the Arroyo.

On 9/18/16 Jon and Gabreil both caught and released 5 bass fishing in the Arroyo.

On 9/16/16 one of our regulars caught a 4lb and a 5lb catfish. He was fishing right of the boat rentals and he was using shrimp for bait.

WHOPPERS:

Joe of Livermore caught and released an 18lb catfish.
