http://www.royalpolaris.comHello everyone;
Our morning started out, just like we finished our night, a good bite on Yellowfin and Yellowtail. It was a steady pick all day, with 2 to 3 fish going most of the time. Never a dull moment for our anglers today.
Most of the Yellowfin were in the 70 to 90 pound range, with a few going over the century mark, with the largest one going 126 pounds. The Yellowtail fishing was just fabulous, with dropper looping being the number one go getter. The Yellowtail were in the 20 to 35 pound range, with a couple over 40 pounds.
Most fisherman started out with 80 pound test, but by the end of the day, most were using 100, with some using 130 pound test. The current strong, so using a 16oz sinkers was a must, but 24oz prove to be the better size. Once the sunset, and the bite was over, the count would show how good our day was. We ended up with 84 Yellowtail and 76 Yellowfin tuna. What a day!!! We will pull our anchor and head to Ensenada, before heading home.
Until next time, good luck and good fishing.
