Steelhead fishing opens on the Alsea River on Nov. 1. Fish are beginning to enter the mainstem. Casting spinners, drifting bait or using a bobber and jig can be effective.
Open for Chinook salmon Aug 1 – Dec 31, upstream to USFS River Edge Boat Landing.
Open for hatchery steelhead Jan 1 – Apr 30 and Nov 1 – Dec 31.
No fishing from a floating device upstream from Mill Creek.
