http://www.royalpolaris.comHello everyone;
Waking up to biting Yellowfin tuna, was a blessing to all. The Yellowfin started biting as soon as the sun was rising. Most of the fish were in the 70 to 90 pound range, with a few going over the century mark. It was a nicer steady bite, most of the bite came on 50 and 60 pound test, we had a few heartbreaker to the 50 pound test, while 60 test was the better choice. The bite slowed down around 10:30 hours.
First call for lunch, and we were on the move looking for Yellowtail. The Yellowtail bite would was steady, but the landing rate was down today, due to the larger fish biting today. The Yellowtail were in the 25 to 40 pound range, with many loses to the larger fish.
I think everyone was hurting for pulling on Yellowfin earlier that morning. So we finished our trip with a good note. We are now headed to Ensenada to clear and then back to the good old USA. So until fingers and key-board meet again (Halcrow), good luck and good fishing.
