Not much has changed with the bass bite this past week, with largies scattered from 3' to 70’ in the water column. Drop shot, texas rigs, and jigs getting most of the deep fish. Morning hours have produced some top water opportunities for schooling fish. Flukes, A-rigs, and spooks t‹› name just a few all took their share of fish.
The intake area proved to be the top spot for the larger grade of bluegill, as well as crappie. Red worms, and nightcrawlers got it done for the panfishermen. Only a few catfish checked in, with top honors going to Dennis Kolender who landed a 64.2 giant on a bass jig.

San Vicente Reservoir is currently closed to all public access and recreation during construction of the reservoir's dam to increase water storage capacity. It is anticipated that San Vicente will be reopening sometime before Spring of 2016; more information will be made available when a date becomes official. As part of the San Vicente Dam Raise Project, the San Diego County Water Authority will also construct a new marina for the reservoir. The new marina will reduce boat launching wait times,......
