I had the opportunity to jump on the Aloha Spirit out of Captain Hook's Sportfishing. The weekend weather wasn't looking very promising with wind and chop in the forecast so we decided to make a local run to the islands. Fortunately, we had a beautiful day fishing Anacapa Island.

There's so many improvements being made at Captain Hook's including a full service tackle shop with the hottest gear that's on the market. Resident rod wrapping mastermind Scott Throop of Deep Color Custom Rods will wrap you the rod of your dreams! There are also beautiful new slips, new vessels and new captains.

Captain Shawn Steward and Crew have been making amazing improvements to an already nice vessel. The galley has been redone with plush lighting and suede seats, the wheel house has been equipped with a few new toys including an assortment of AVET REELS.
