We arrived to our destination at 06:00 hours, and started looking around. It didn’t take Roy long, before dropping the anchor. The morning started out a bit slow, but as the day went on, things started to heat up. The 10 to 15 knots breeze was welcome, keeping everyone comfortable, while waiting for a bite. The Yellowfin bite was steady, with most of the fish in the 150 to 190 pound range, with one fish going over 200 pounds.
Lucky angler today, Jim Springer with a 204 pound Yellowfin tuna. Jim was the daily Jackpot winner. Other notable anglers today, Joe Amagrande, with two fish in the 180 pound category. Jim Tallerico with a 140 pound fish, caught on 40 pound test wire, while fishing for Wahoo. Bert Carlson with a nice 187 pound Yellowfin tuna, and to top off our list, Jimmy Shoaf with two Yellowfin in the 170 pound range.
We will try to make a tank of flying fish tonight, then give it the old collage try again tomorrow. So wish us luck.

Hello everyone; Well with the weather coming down, and things are not rolling around. We are still in prep stage. Everyone is getting ready to do battle with the Giants of the deep. Hello everyone; We departed Fisherman’s landing, on the annual Jerry Brown open. With 18 passengers and 18 days, and a beautiful load sardines, we are on our way. Mother Nature was not in a good mood today, with rain, wind, and a very confused ocean. It was a bit tough for 5 hours. By dinner time the weather is a lot better.
