http://www.shogunsportfishing.com Today Capt. Norm has the Shogun pointed toward Alijos Rocks, we arrive tomorrow morning. Hopes are high as last year we had a great trip at the rocks. Yellowtail and tuna are the target species, reels were serviced and spooled up with fresh line today. Right now the cooks are serving a nice chicken dinner, perhaps an after dinner movie and its lights out because tomorrow is going to be a full day of fishing. Its great to be out on the ocean once again. Energy is high and all aboard are looking forward to tomorrow's fishing!

It started off slow, but ended up with good fishing here above San Martin island. Our weather dramatical improved over yesterday. Big Fish Bait and Tackle owner Bob Lienau came away with the daily jack pot with a 20 pound lingcod. Big Fish Happen, Bruce......

It was a tougher day here on the cod grounds. The wind and waves didn't give us a break and actually increased in size and consistency throughout the day. Giant Humboldt squid showed up, but weren't too much of a problem.
