Bass fishing was good last week, as warming water temps have the largemouth moving up in the water column. Fly-lined plastics, drop shot, and small swimbaits all caught fish last week. A handful of panfish also showed, but not in any numbers as of yet. There were no reports of any catfish, but it was known that the backs of coves were holding some of the lakes larger blues, with cut mackerel the bait of choice.

Bass fishing has been steadily improving with the warmer air temps early in the week. Jigs, senkos, flukes, jerk baits, swimbaits, you name it, they all got bit.
