Fishing should still be good for stocked rainbow trout but anglers will have the best success fishing for bass and panfish. Parking is available to the right as you drive in Gate 5. A day use fee to park here is $4. An annual parking permit can be purchased from Jackson County Parks Department for $30.
A short walk from the day use parking area provides access is the southernmost pond which was stocked earlier this year with rainbow trout and offers good fishing for warmwater fish. Three parking spots are available at Gate 1.5, but parking is not allowed on Penninger Road.
