There are numerous striped marlin throughout the area and the opportunities to bait them are almost endless, with the boats moving from one group to another. However, the fish remain lock-jawed for now and one can only anticipate the change in the bite. Perhaps after the coming full moon? Overall, the billfish action is keeping everyone on their toes throughout the day. High boat for the week was the "Fish Cabo I", reflecting 6 stripers for 4 fishing days, along with a couple of dorado. Overall fish counts for 36 days fished reflected 26 stripers, (22 released) 1 wahoo, 2 roosterfish, 20 yellowffin tuna and 48 dorado.

Cabo Climate: Partly cloudy days with temps from 66 nights to 94 daytime highs and mostly westerly breezes.

Sea Conditions: Very favorable with temps at 74 at San Cristobal on the Pacific and slowly rising to 79 at the Gorda Banks on the Sea of Cortez side.

Best Fishing Area: Lots of billfish everywhere, from Gray Rock to San Jose but still being stubborn and mostly non-biters, with the boats baiting fish all day long.

Best Lure/Bait: Most of the jig-strikes are short biters with most of the billfish being taken on live bait.

Live Bait Supply: The live bait supply is pretty good right now, but the price has increased to $3.00 per bait, (33-1/3%)
