http://www.silverlakeresort.netThe Fishing on Silver Lake is slowly starting to pick up as we saw a few really nice fish come in late this week. The water level at Silver Lake, Rush Creek, and Grant Lake are as high as we have seen in a very long time. As the lakes continue to rise from all the snow melt we received the water temperature is still extremely cold, sitting at 46 degrees this week but some warmer days are in store over the next week which will help some with the temperature. We did receive a nice healthy load of 3 to 5 pound Rainbows courtesy of Mono County and Desert Springs out of Oregon and we are on schedule to get a load of catchables from DFW this week as well.
Anglers have seen some better action this week using Power Baits which is a good sign of the fish actively feeding, but the most consistent has still been to use worms up towards the surface where the warmer waters are. With all the extra water, we are seeing some new spots and feeding grounds for the fish as the water levels have allowed access to the back of the lake which we haven’t seen in a long time. Get out there and throw the entire tackle box at the lake and see what happens. Remember, catching is not a guarantee but looking up and enjoying the beauty of Silver Lake and the June Lake Loop is!!! Enjoy It!!!
Happy Fishing and We Will See You at The Lake!!
