We departed on our Ray Jarvis Memorial 8-day trip yesterday. This is always a fun group with a colorful cast of characters including David Tang, Gary Grant, Ken Bush, Jim Odlem, JC Wileman, Conner Angwin, Rick Appel, Doug Delaney, and Sarah Saraspe to name a few. Stephen Sotelo brought on board homemade tomales and carnitas for lunch on the way out, it was delicious. Thank you Stephen! The raffle last night took place right after dinner and it was one of the best I've been a part of. Custom wrapped United Compsite Rods, Okuma Reels, JRI Custom Lures, Five Star gift cards, Intrepid apparel, Pelagic Gear, gear from Trophy Tackle, Reebs Lures, and Fish Dog Custom Jig Painting. One of the highlights was that everyone won a JRI Indruder lure custom painted by Fish Dog. Thank you Fishy Buzz, Gary, and JC! Today was a travel day, after breakfast we had a family meeting and covered tackle and techniques for the fishing to come. Our weather was gorgeous all day. Tonights dinner was paired with Delaney Family and Kunde wines. Thank you Doug! With a very good weather forecast, we have high hopes for tomorrow.
