If you haven't made it to El Capitan, you are missing a great evening bite! Bass are crashing the surface. Only a few fisherman are looking for bluegill and they are doing well. Fishing overall has been good. A few catfish have been hooked up, but the fishermen were not prepared for the size of the fish.

The Bass bite is still going on with top water action being the most productive. Just a few catfish have been reported this week. Bluegill have very little pressure. Not many fishermen are looking for Bluegill, most fisherman come to El Capitan looking for bass. Ask the the concession manager about the evening bite special for boats and kayaks. ......
