https://www.intrepid.netHi Gang,
We were able to fish for yellowtail today on the coast as we are far enough north of this tropical storm now. We started hooking fish around 0800 and it progressively got better throughout the day. We had a couple of shots were this fish bit just about everything in the water, and most of our day was just steady with 1 to 3 fish hooked at any given time. The times when the fish would charge the boat was impressive with all tackle methods working. Flylined sardines, yo yo jigs, and the surface iron all worked well at times. This was an impressive day of fishing and most of this yellowtail was between 15 and 20 pounds with a few fish around the 25 pound mark. Our weather was perfect all day with 5 knots of wind or less and flat calm seas. We are continuing north tonight, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
