"We arrived at the bank in the early morning hours," reported Royal Polaris February 13. "It didn't take long for us to make Flyers. After we made a tank of Flyers, it was time to put the anchor down. Weather today at the bank was typical, winds 12 to 15 knots, 5 to 8 foot seas, and overcast skies. We had a decent day of fishing. We had a handful of Yellowfin for the early morning bite.

"Around 7:00 a.m. Roy pulled the anchor and we trolled for Wahoo. The action on the Wahoo was only fair, with only a handful of skin coming in on the troll. Once we trolled up the bank, we dropped the anchor once again. This time it didn't take the Yellowfin long to find the Flying fish we had to offer for bait. The action on the kite was steady, with fish in the 100 to 140 pound range, with the larger one's going over 200 pounds. Lucky anglers today were Susan Langdale and Fred Reich. Fred's fish was the largest of the day. Fred's fish taped around 225 pounds (remember this is an estimated weight). We would like to say that the luckiest angler on the boat so far is number 11(Brandon Kreutel), he is having a great trip.

"The men would like to wish their better halves a happy Valentine's Day. After dinner, we pulled our anchor and went to the high spot to make flyers, and it didn't take long. With a full load of bait, and 6 days left to fish, who knows what tomorrow might bring.

"There are a few openings on our April trip, departing on the 2nd of April, give our office a call, talk to Scotty or Andrea."
