Tillamook Bay Fishing Report

OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff

Report Date:

Fall Chinook fishing has been fair to good on Tillamook Bay. There are fish being caught from the jetties through the upper bay, although action has been sporadic, there have been good bites on some days, while others are pretty dead. It’s that time of year and fishing on the bay should improve throughout the month. Trolling herring in the lower bay and spinners in the upper bay are the go to techniques.

Anglers are reminded that there is NO wild coho retention in the rivers and bays this year, and that two rods are prohibited on all coastal rivers, tidewater, estuaries and bays.
