With the warm temperatures there is no ice here and fishing has been good depending upon the day and location. Small spinners and minnow imitations were producing some fish for spin fishermen, but fly rodders were doing better. Fly rodders should be using hare’s ears, pheasant tails, prince nymphs, midge patterns, eggs and egg sucking leeches. Best places to fish appear to be where the current is strongest. The fish are moving, so if you don’t have much luck in one area, pack up and hit another. As of Thursday, January 18, 2018, Harrison Pass was open with little or no snow on it. However, snow was forecast for Friday, so depending on how much snow falls, will depend on driving conditions over the pass.
