Bass fishing starting to really come on as of late, with most fish moving up and back into cuts, and coves all over the lake. Fly-lined plastics have been working well when it's flat, and when the wind starts look to your favorite reaction bait to get the job done. Some of the lakes larger bluegill bit for anglers at the end of the courtesy dock on drop shotted nightcrawlers. No crappie were reported to the marina last week. As far as catfish, many anglers were seeing them visually but had a tough time getting them to bite, with the exception of lake regular Jeff Green of El Cajon, who connected with a "171b. rat" on cut mackerel.

This past weeks cooling air temps. slowed the bass bite some. Although, by Sunday the fish were back on the chew. One angler reported 9 fish in the last 2 hours on that same day, fishing fly-lined plastics tight to the bank. It was also reported that there were-largemouth in 20' to 30' depth that were biting drop shotted robo worms on main lake points. Fishing here is starting to warm up as all species made a showing this past week. Bass have been moving up into as little as 2' of water in some areas.
