On my travels home from the Wild West Bass Trail Pro/Am bad weather was reported where I live in the Mountains so I decided to fish Lake Pardee rather than continue my drive in to potentially dangerous winter driving conditions .
When I arrived it was still raining with heavy cloud cover. I began my fishing up river on a bluff wall using the bass Assassin little tapper in green pumpkin and got a keeper right away not big but a keeper. As I moved Down the wall the fishing got much better,I was just dead sticking on six pound P-line and I was able to catch two 4 pounders !!!
I started to look for similar water like steep bluffs with little flat spots in them. I was using a Bass Assassin lures fat job in green pumpkin blue flk just letting it slowly fall as close to the bluff as possible catching a variety of Large Mouth and Small Mouth Bass . The fishing is good and with a dropshot and stick bait you can catch a good bag! Natural colors are key . The fish are 15 to 30 ft adjacent to deep water access.
All in all it was a great day of fishing. I never left the river arm and ended up with a nice 17 pound bag of Bass. Lake Pardee is located just on the outskirts of Ione ca and just 45 min East of Stockton Ca, the great part is there is not alot of fishing pressure. Contact Lake Pardee its a great fishing lake, with great Trout as well as Small Mouth and Large Mouth Bass fishing.
