remain stubborn and don't want to cooperate. High boat for the week
was the "Gaviota V", reflecting 8 stripers released for 4 fishing
days. The combined fishing reports for the Gaviota & Fish Cabo
Fleets, reporting for a total of 47 fished days, reflected 38
stripers, (35 released) 42 yellowfin tuna and 8 dorado.
Cabo Climate: Mostly sunny and warm with temps that ranged from 73
nights to 95 daytime highs.
Sea Conditions: Cabo to San Jose Del Cabo reflected temps from
76-78. Water temps progressively got warmer the farther into the Sea
of Cortez, with temps rising to 80-81 by Gorda Banks.
Best Fishing Area: There are 1-day hot spots that give up some fish
but by the next day, they move into a different area and the boat has
to search again.
Best Lure/Bait: Live bait has been a must, albeit, a few fish are
being taken on the arttificials.
Live Bait Supply: Remains good this past week.

Report: Back on the World Famous EL BUDSTER. The Stan Mitchell party catches eight 20 lb. YELLOWTAIL. They fished inshore about three miles off the Los Cabos Arches. The water temp. was 68 - 69 degrees. On the EL BUDSTER II. Gary Bowen from Bakersfield, CA catches and releases a 130 lb. STRIPED MARLIN. It was caught on a live Caballito. The fighting time was 35 minutes. He also catches two 25 lb. DORADOS. They fished at the 1150 Reef.......
