Lake Selmac Fishing Report

OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff

Report Date:

East public Access of Selmac Lake is closed with Mallard Loop and Eagle Loop boat ramps and campsites being used for fire crew camps. On the west, Osprey, Heron, and Teal Loop are open for camping, and boat and fishing access.

Fishing for bass and other warmwater species has been good. The lake is warm, so fishing will be best early or late in the day. Lake Selmac has a lot of aquatic vegetation, so anglers will have to adjust their techniques and locations accordingly.
