The weather has been beautiful and the fish are biting! Our holiday weekend was a huge success!! Rainbow Trout were hitting a little better! You can still catch them around the dam and in Johnson Bay and are down about 30 ft. They love garlic nightcrawlers & Panther Martins when trolling. Crappie were slow this week but can still be seen hiding out around the reeds. Atomic Tubes work great as well as Crappie Jigs. Our best catching this week was a Large & Small Mouth Bass! We had many caught & one 5 pounder! Try your luck at the old boat launch facing the Dam! Rapalas and Flicker Shads work great! Catfish were also being caught in good numbers. 3 & 4 lbers. were being caught near the dam and the coves around the Marina. Mackerel has been a popular choice. Bluegill & Redear were still the most elusive. When they do hit, Hook & worm are working nicely on boats and off shore. We are at about 23% capacity here at the lake with about 85 ft. of water at Bradbury Dam. Still plenty of water for great fishing! Come visit our bait shop for any tackle and bait you may need.
