The steelhead fishing reports a slow start in the American and Feather rivers. There is still some optimism that the fishing will improve, but the action hasn’t emerged as of yet. If you are willing to try your luck your options are to cast Little Cleo’s, salmon roe or nigh crawlers for your best chance of hooking up with a bright steelie.

The striped bass fishing out on the Delta waterways has been in the dumps due to the colder water temperature. The stripers are still in the system but getting them to strike your lure or getting them to take your bait of choice is something to reckon with my friend.
