This Wildlife Wednesday we’re looking at our annual Trout in the Classroom teacher training program. The Trout in the Classroom program is one of NDOWs most popular programs! NDOW staff supplies teachers with trout eggs for their classrooms. Their students get the experience of raising them, watching their life cycle and releasing them into local waterways. Last night, we finished our 7th and final teacher training of the season. We had nearly 60 teachers attend training sessions gearing up for the Trout in the Classroom season. These teachers learn everything from tank care, feeding, and aquatic education lesson plans that will be teaching to thousands of school children every year.
