As of April 23 access from Riley on USFS roads 45s/45 will get you to within 6 miles of the lake before you encounter remaining snow drifts. The lake is assumed to be ice-free, however it is unknown if a winter-kill event occurred and if trout remain in the lake. The lake will be restocked in late May once hatchery trucks can access the lake.
