Report Date:
http://www.kenssport.comThe East is running at about 312 right now, this past week we’ve had some poor reports, some so-so reports and some good reports. Some anglers have struggled with the higher flows, it can be difficult to get your flies down near the bottom where they need to be, this is where the fish are hanging out and feeding. It takes a pretty good amount of weight to get there and some larger indicators to carry that weight. The better reports we received mostly came on nymphs though a few anglers did do well with streamers. The Nevada side of the river fished about the same as the Cali side but of course fewer people. There were some nice fish landed, some up to about 22 inches as well as lots of 12 to 18 inchers. San Juan worms really seemed to be on top of the hit parade as far as flies go.
