Today’s Fish Count: 10 Boats and 270 Anglers.

1,331 Rockfish, 1,373 Whitefish, 2 Lingcod, 1 Cabezon, 10 Sculpin, 67 Sheephead, 1 Sand Bass, 74 Calico Bass, 1 Barracuda, 9 Yellowtail, 4 Halibut, and 18 White Seabass.

The sun came out today, making this afternoon one of the nicest in a while. Bottom fishing has been solid all year, but today it was especially good. Big Sheephead started flying over the rail on the ¾ day boat, while Whitefish were piling up on deck for pretty much everyone. The White Seabass were hard to find, but some lucky anglers coaxed a few to bite. One particular angler, visiting from Arizona landed a fish of a lifetime weighing 55.0 pounds on our IGFA certified scale.
