The weather was not looking good for the trip aboard the STARDUST with rain and 4-5 foot swells. It prevented some folks from going along, so we departed at 5am with only folks 13 aboard. Capt Luke gave us a safety briefing while Dane and Casey loaded some nice looking anchovies and sardines. We had a raffle for some great prizes from SEAGUAR FLOUROCARBON , FISHWORKS , and SFR T-shirts. We headed for Santa Rosa Island and were greeted by a light rain, but the seas were flat calm. The fishing started a little slow, but it didn't take long to find some hungry fish. We had limits of rockfish by 12:30pm and headed into shallow water in search of whitefish. We managed to get a few before it was time to start the trip home. For those who stayed on land because of the weather, you missed an absolutely beautiful day on the water.
