Striped Bass:
The striped bass action is getting better and better but the day. A lot of action is by the narrows and hot bait right now is anchovies. Other baits such as sardines, mackerel, shad and shad imitations lures are doing very well. Boils are happening in the early mornings and  are getting more and more common to see, still they don’t last too long so if you abetter the boils be here early.

Large/smallmouth: The past week the bass have been selective on what they are hitting on , they are still active and biting, you just have to figure out what they are feeing on that day. Night cralwers have been a good producer along with senkos in a variety of colors usually a 4-5” worm in a more natural color with just a hint of purple or red usually does the trick.

Bluegill/Panfish: All of our Panfish are putting up numbers. Bluegill and Crappie have been favoring red worms and pieces of night crawlers. Other productive baits have been panfish jigs in a variety of colors. The panfish are anywhere there is some cover including rocks, trees and by our handicap dock.

Catfish: We just got 2 big 750 lb. Catfish plant cove the last month and people have been catching them on accident. The catfish always seem to prefer cut baits like anchovies, sardines, mackerel and chicken liver. The cars have been being caught all over the lake biting whatever is in front of them, the narrows and but the dam seem to be doing better if you are targeting cats.

Trout: We aren’t expecting trout to pick up again until the water temp starts to drop. We did have one 7 pound caught this week on salmon eggs. They are all in the deep water by the dam.
