We’ve had a slow fishing week. A few people reported catching large and small mouth bass around the island. They were caught on flicker shads and Rapalas. A few trout were caught near Harvey’s Cove on garlic night crawlers using a worm blower.

The weather continues to be cool in the mornings and sunny in the afternoon. Bass have been biting for the past few days. Several have been reported as large as 20” both small and largemouth. One angler broke the bass streak by catching two trout, one 18” and one 22” on night crawlers. A few caught catfish on catfish dough off a boat around the island close to the reeds. ......
