Recent sampling turned up plenty of nice brook trout ranging from 8-14 inches. There are two size classes of rainbow trout available in the lake ranging from 12-20 inches long. 

Check to make sure the Steens Loop Rd. is open before setting out for a trip to Fish Lake. This road is closed seasonally during the winter months depending on snow depth.

We anticipate some ice formation in the next week, if it’s not frozen already.  Anglers should use caution on early season ice.
