Things have slowed a bit in the Guerneville area the past few days with a few fish coming through but nothing heavy. The Big Cheese got out on Monday and drifted from Healdsburg down and managed to go 3 for 4 with the biggest going 13 lbs. Tonight the forecast is calling for heavy rain with river projections forecasting the river climbing to 12' or around 3000 cfs. Long range forecast calls for unsettled weather afterwards but no major storm systems so we should be back and fishing by late next week, fingers crossed!

As of today Saturday March 30 the Russian is at 8600 cfs or 14 feet and muddy. Conditions will remain muddy for at least another two weeks depending on the amount of rain we continue to get. All Sonoma and Mendocino coastal streams will be closed for the season on April 1st. The Russian will remain open to fishing except as of April 1st bait season will be closed so non-scented artificial barbless lures only until November 1st. With near......
